We were established in Saffron Walden in 1997. Since then we have sought to identify and meet the needs of the community of Saffron Walden both practically and spiritually. You will often see members of our group selling the Salvation Army weekly newspaper ‘The War Cry’.
We have a weekly service held at the Church between 10:00 and 11:30am, at which the service is quite informal, preceded by a time of fellowship over a cup of tea and a biscuit for about 30mins. Some of the people come occasionally, some wish the Salvation Army to be their denomination of choice and others choose to wear the uniform and each person who worships with us is accepted and welcomed the same as everyone else.
We have a pastoral team that helps to care for the spiritual and physical needs not only for our group, but all who ask.
We work closely with other denominations in Saffron Walden and the surrounding villages, see the links tab for links to other churches in the area.
